DVA Architecture provided architectural, interior design and construction administration services for the relocation of the Cuyahoga County Veterans Service Commission Headquarters. With the goal of drastically expanding how it serves the county’s veterans, the project built-out a larger and more modern space for the organization.
Designed to support both accessibility and future growth, the facility features a secure rear entrance through a gated parking lot with 56 free on-site parking spaces, a significant improvement over the commission’s previous location, which lacked dedicated parking.
Inside, visitors are welcomed through a security checkpoint into a spacious reception area equipped with ample seating, public computer access, and a resource wall showcasing services provided by partner agencies. The building also includes a large multipurpose space designed to accommodate expanded education, outreach, and training programs.
The new location also offers closer proximity to other major social service providers for veterans, including the Jane Edna Hunter Social Services Center, the Centers for Families and Children and the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless.
